Purim Celebration and Megillah Reading

Don your costumes, we’ll supply the groggers and Hamentashen!

Join us on Wednesday night, March 20th at TBS at 7PM as we continue our tradition of unfurling our hand calligraphic (in Hebrew), Megillat Esther for the entire congregation to see. We will then take turns reading the Megillah – in English, of course – and boo, hiss, stomp and then wipe out the name of Haman with our groggers while enjoying the heroic story of Queen Esther, Mordecai, King Ahasuerus and the rest of the cast of colorful characters. This is one of our most enjoyable services. Coming in costume makes the whole evening all the better. This will be our last holiday celebration in our current facility. It seems fitting somehow, as seven years ago we began our tenure in this space with Purim and the reading of the Megillah.

Rabbi Rosenstein will bring her costume box for those who need a little extra help!
