THE GLOBAL DAY OF JEWISH LEARNING
Temple Beth Sholom will unite with 400 Jewish Communities Around the World to Study Creativity and Collaboration for the “Global Day of Jewish Learning” on November 17, 2013
WHAT: “The Global Day of Jewish Learning”, a project of the Aleph Society and world-renowned scholar Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz, brings global Jewry together to celebrate foundational Jewish texts through community-based learning. Temple Beth Sholom joins in by hosting workshops on creativity, friendship and the creation of the world around us.
The Fourth Annual Global Day centers on “Creating Together: Jewish Approaches to Creativity and Collaboration.” Questions to be explored include:
* In which ways can each person offer his or her own individual creative contributions to the world?
* Is there any room for creativity in prayer or Jewish learning?
* What role do the arts play in Jewish life?
