This year, Erev Rosh Hashanah falls on Erev Shabbat, Friday Sept. 18th. In lieu of a typical service, Rabbi Rosenstein will be conducting a Zoom seder specifically formatted for Rosh Hashanah. All members in good standing and those who have purchased their $75 High Holiday tickets will have access to this ancient Sephardic custom. This will be an interactive evening taking place around our various dining room and/or kitchen tables. We will light the Yom Tov candles, make Kiddush, share a motzi, dip apples in honey as well as make blessings over a variety of fruits and vegetables all in an effort to bring blessings of goodness, prosperity and wellbeing to ourselves and our families as we usher in the Jewish year of 5781.
Rabbi Rosenstein will send out downloadable and printable “haggadahs” so everyone can follow along from their own dining room. Believe it or not, for centuries, Jews from many countries around the world have been conducting this Erev Rosh Hashanah service from their homes with great joy and anticipation.
